Average rating of 4/5 Useful where space is restricted, 2010-04-27
This comes into its own in situations where nuts are either almost out of reach or in such a tight spot that you can't adjust a standard adjustable in situ - you know what I mean, you try it for fit, remove it, twiddle the knurled nut a little bit (usually in the wrong direction), try it again, etc.
With this tool you can avoid all that. I've found it most useful in plumbing and heating applications, though bear in mind the maximum jaw width is 30mm so it won't fit some of the larger nuts on tanks and boilers.
Not a replacement for a good manual adjustable and I wouldn't pay the original £30+ for it but if you can get it for under a tenner then its a useful addition to any toolbox.

Average rating of 1/5 Nice idea but useless, 2010-03-27
The auto-adjust is a brilliant idea, it's just a pity that the wrench is not strong enough to hold its grip. It is incredibly weak and I have not managed to use it successfully on anything yet.

Aesthethically very good looking adjustable but dont think its worth paying more money for the auto adjustment feature! Prob saves u time but not money in batteries!!! Just a fancy adjustable!

Average rating of 1/5 Worthless junk, 2010-07-08
The mechanism for this item is completely rubbish. There is far to much give on the slider and as a result it's so loose that I've never managed to actually grip on to anything. Complete waste of money, steer clear!

Average rating of 2/5 Design Failure, 2010-05-30
The jaws are moved by a small motor via a rubber band. As, i believe, the weather gets hotter the rubber band gets loose and comes off. So you need to open it (using a philips screwdriver) and put it back in place... and then after you use it a bit it comes off again. The only wrench that needs a scrwedriver to get it working.

The internal mechanics remind me of a childs toy.

It works fine, when it works. Its a shame nobody at B&D spent an extra 10 minutes to test it and eliminate this problem by using a shorter/tighter/better band.. Its just extremely dissapointing.
