You could almost go on the rampage appreciating this wonderfully designed tool .I had hurt my finger hammering in a washing dryer into the ground with a hammer a few days before trying the shears on hedging . The handles of your Draper shears have marvellous soft groovy parts for fingers so the shears do not hurt even damaged fingers ..The blades can be pushed into the protective carded cover for protection and the blades do cut well.Nice green colour of handles and Draper logo background colour which minimises glare

As far as hedge shearers go these are great. Low cost and are still sharp after two good years of use.
Good basic clippers, 2010-05-31
Good basic clippers with soft-touch handle. Light, easy to use and sharp (for how long we shall see.....). They appear to attack relatively thick branches easily. My only criticism is that the part of the blade set aside to cut larger diameter branches (up near the handles) does not have much of a scooped out section to hold the branch in place while you cut it. Apart from that, great vale for money.

These shears are reasonably lightweight and cut beautifully, they look and feel reasonably sturdy !
